GRADUATION
Well it's official! Yesterday my lovely better half - John (http://jpomo.blogspot.com/) and I graduated from the Columbus College of Art & Design and earned our BFAs! What an exciting time for all of our friends and family! And ourselves of course haha. It's be a crazy 4 years, but here we are! Entering the real world and seeing what it has to offer! I earned my BFA in Media Studies (Magna Cum Laude) and John received his in Illustration (he hopes to do children's books).
I luckily have also BEEN HIRED at Hotbed Media, Inc (http://www.hotbed.com/) here in Columbus as an assistant editor (WOO!) and so it'll probably be my Vimeo that will be the most updated. I've also been hired as a freelance designer for The West Central Ohio Veterinary Emergency Service in Lima, OH. Updates on that can be seen here.
Anyway, I shall be saving up for a Cintiq (hopefully) along with a new computer that can run all the crazy programs I want. As that happens, I hope to continue working on character design because eventually...I'd like to work at an animation studio doing character/creature design and story development. In the meantime, I'll be doing video/film work for Hotbed.
Stay Saucy Ya'll!

Emergency Vet Service_Mural Sketches
The West Central Ohio Veterinary Emergency Service in Lima, OH has commissioned me to design a logo/mural for them. The rules were that it has to include a dog, cat, one serpent vet sign, the name of the place, the established year, and a place to put a list of the owner names. In the end, it's going to be a wall mural via Fathead (http://www.fathead.com/) that will be placed behind the reception desk :)
I'm starting off with just the general logo. The client sent me some examples and I went ahead and compiled them into reference I was gathering. They really liked the silhouetted look so that's what I ran with :3

Siblings Finished (for now?)
Well, I think I've finished it....at least it's done for now haha. I need more practice painting hair :/ Aside from that, I've always had trouble really pushing my value structures. I didn't go as dark as I should have on some of this....especially with skin tones. I realized this late in the game though, so maybe it looks sloppy when I tried to improvise? D:> idk...I like it, but I'm tired of working on it on and off for months haha SO. For now, it is finished :)
These are Nikita, Kir, and Adele from my original story called Aviris (working title). The story is going through some major revisions, but hopefully, someday, will become something or other in a published form haha.
Done in Photoshop over the course of too long X_X Inspired by Klimt.
